Gasoline to hit $1.50 a litre(?)
posted in Fuel Economy, USA, Economy, Alternative Fuels, Oil Market Watch, Science & Technology, Automobiles, The Middle East |CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) World Markets believes that oil will hit $150US/barrel, and it’s hard to dispute them at this point. If you’d asked me if gas would be above a dollar in 2000, I’d have guess that eventually it would but maybe in 2020. I’m not nearly cynical enough for reality, I suppose.
Anyway, $150US/barrel oil means $1.50/litre gas? I would bet that if oil reached that limit we’d see $1.75 or $2/litre gasoline prices in Canada.
(Thanks to Paul, who also points out an interesting electric car company from Canada, selling reasonable-priced little city-cars)
